September TBR List

Sunday, 1 September 2019

I hate setting myself targets because I often either fail them spectacularly or kill myself trying to accomplish them. However, I am setting myself monthly TBR lists because I like having a plan of action. I like being organised and I like knowing which book I am going to be reading next instead of forever staring at my ever growing collection of unread books wandering which book to pick up next. I've tried to set myself realistic lists. I figured on average I get through a book a week so 4 books a month isn't totally bonkers, is it?

Caravel by Stephanie Garber
I hauled this here and I cannot wait to pick up the first book in this three-book series. I've heard nothing but great things and I cannot wait to see what all the fuss is about!

Rachel's Pudding Pantry by Caroline Roberts
I figured I will try to crack on with as many chick-lit books as possible whilst summer is still hanging on for dear life. This is one I picked up in Asda a couple of months ago because I just really thought the cover was cute.

Never Greener by Ruth Jones
This is Ruth Jones' debut novel and I've heard nothing but great things about it. I'll be honest, the storyline sounds very similar to Let's Meet on Platform 8 by Carole Matthews in the way that the book is based around adultery and if you read my review on that book, you will know I wasn't a fan. But I'm willing to give this a shot as people have raved about this.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
I read this book at least once a year because it's my favourite book of all time. I haven't actually read this in a couple of years because last year I lost my copy when moving house, so I've picked up a new copy and I cannot wait to re-read this - there's just something about this story that is unlike any other love story I've ever read, and I never seem to tire of picking this book up!
